Stepping Stone House
Oct. 19, 2021
Jason Juretic is the CEO of the award-winning non-profit Stepping Stone House which provides accommodation and personal development for young people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness so they can achieve independence and are inspired to become the very best they can be. Jason has enjoyed a very varied career, starting his working life as a pilot in the United Kingdom Royal Air Force, he then moved into security and counter terrorism roles as an officer before leaving the military to take on management and executive leadership roles in the travel, transport, IT and supply chain industries. Jason has dedicated over 25 years in both volunteer and professional roles to developing, mentoring and supporting disadvantaged children and youth to become the very best they can be. His unique approach to empowerment is characterised by the use of measureable goals and outcomes which foster a sense of achievement and self-belief in those he supports. Jason is a passionate believer that a team is greater than the sum of its parts and the true purpose of life is to create connections and help other people. Max Connery was born in Sydney. He is a graduate in Law from Sydney University. He practised as a Solicitor for 54 years. He is a Costs Assessor. He was a part-time Arbitrator in the Supreme and District Courts of NSW. In 1989 with the support of his wife, fellow lawyers and other colleagues he set up a house for homeless youth called Stepping Stone House. Max continued as its Chairman until 2015. As from 2003 he has also been a Trustee of the Stepping Stone Foundation which is a Trust for Stepping Stone House and its homeless young people. David Hart was a valued consultant of the Investment Committee of Stepping Stone Foundation for over 3 years. This year the Stepping Stone Foundation, under the umbrella of Stepping Stone House will open its third house in Sydney. This will include accommodation for 2-3 Aboriginal young people with Aboriginal staff. Jason Juretic took on the leadership of Stepping Stone House in 2014 as its Chief Executive Officer and continues in that role. In October 2018 Stepping Stone House was awarded the Service Excellence Award by the Association of Child Welfare Agencies. Jason will tell you himself about the great work in which Stepping Stone House is presently involved. It is important to realise that Stepping Stone House is not reliant on Government funding. |

Blue Mountains Tourism
Dec. 14, 2021 7:30 a.m.
Ms Kanzora’s engagement is the first step for Blue Mountains Tourism towards investing the $2.6 million Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Funding announced in July. Jointly funded by the Federal and State governments, the grant was announced in July and will involve destination branding, marketing, website development, major events, industry communications and a business resilience program.
Beginning her marketing career at Price Waterhouse Coopers in Chicago in 1996, Ms Kanzora most recently promoted Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA Australian tour and the Van Gogh Alive exhibition in Sydney in 2020.
Before that, she promoted the King Kong musical on Broadway, Moulin Rouge! the Musical world premiere in Boston and on Broadway and Muriel's Wedding the Musical Australian tour. She also promoted EMPIRE North American Tour, Radio City Christmas Spectacular in Madison Square Garden, and 10 productions for Blue Man Group in New York City promoting shows in America, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Berlin, Tokyo and other global productions.
As well as meeting local tourism businesses and exploring the region, one of Ms Kanzora’s first tasks will be to plan two major events, the first of which will probably be held in 2022. |
