Belle Tukin is an artist, writer, outdoor enthusiast, disability rights activist and researcher. She has worked in peace and conflict through national inquiries, conflict analysis and currently helps lead the work of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation against People with Disability as an Assistant Director.

As a woman with disability herself, she is passionate about seeing young people with disability thrive, living lives free from violence, systemic neglect and inequality. She has a particular interest in the intersection of environmental justice, and the inclusion and leadership of people with disability as we continue our lives on a deteriorating planet.

In her lifetime, it would be her hope to see those that often come last, come first.
