Formed in 2001 as a new Club in the Blue Mountains, Upper Blue has gone from strength to strength. Firstly we are a breakfast Club, which means we meet
weekly in the morning between 7:00 and 8:30. We have a blend of experienced and newer Rotarians, currently at 24 members.
A breakfast club is ideal for those still working as their day is essentially free after the meeting. We have no strict rules on meeting attendance, turn up when you can.
We hope you will want to come regularly. Our Club is a nice size, not too big, giving us maximum flexibility and agility.
Everyone is doing something and most members are actively engaged in our community.
Our 2018-19 President is Michael Small
- Community Service and President Elect Paul Campbell
- Vocational Service John Rankins
- International Service Phill Isaacs
- Youth Service Sandra de Gruchy
- Public Relations Bill Pixton
- Secretary Ann Margulis
- Treasurer John Curry
We sometimes talk about an elevator speech, that is a short, sharp precis of what we're about.
"Upper Blue Mountains Rotary is a group of like-minded professionals, all volunteers, who have a passion for making a difference here in the Mountains and around the world. We are ordinary people who love helping others, with a focus on children and families. Each week our members are inspired by excellent speakers and community leaders who inform us about interesting topics or challenge us to be better people. We enjoy the friendship of our fellow Rotarians and we have plenty of fun along the way."
